Haircut for Prince Jacques!

Well, we’ve been waiting for it…

…and here it is!!! Princess Charlene posted these absolutely adorable photos last night of – yes – Prince Jacques’ first haircut. Perhaps Gabriella’s too, but Jacques hair looks the most significantly different. (Photos courtesy of Facebook.)

I was so sure this would be happening soon, which is why I’ve spent generous time in recent posts just gushing over the little prince’s formerly-long locks. There is something about boys with curly hair…somehow, that seems to be the most emotionally-charged haircut, at least for most of the parents in my circle.

But even though this was probably a tough milestone for his proud mama, look how handsome little Jacques is. Correction – they’re not so little anymore! These two tykes will be three years old in less than a month, and I think we’re all going to be relishing the last “toddler” days while they last. I am so grateful that Charlene gave us a little window into this private milestone. Sidenote: who else is swooning over these haircut hugs?

Sending love to these sweet babes and their parents, and for all you dear readers too, of course! Happy haircuts!

  1. Katie, As I had said in my previous comment Jacques , with his flowing locks, reminded me of Little Lord Fauntleroy. Now with his haircut he is already a dashing Prince waiting to break numerous hearts! But just the same they both look like enchanting cherubs! I cannot stop looking at these pictures and wish that I could cuddle them and shower them with kisses!!!!!!!!!!! Lucky Charlene and Albert to have such gorgeous twins. May God and His Mother always watch over them and keep them away from harm.

Myriam, I couldn’t have said it better myself. He is so handsome! It was done in perfect time for National Day. I can’t wait!

  3. Katie, thank you for posting these adorable photographs. Really very special to be allowed a glimpse into the little Prince’s milestone, his first haircut. They are beautiful children and obviously very close to one another, as twins usually are. Princess Charlene always dresses them so well, it is a pleasure to see photographs of the royal children. Looking forward to many more posts from you about our favorite princess and her lovely family.

You’re so welcome, Karin! I agree about how well Charlene dresses the twins. I love how she dresses them SO well, and also so appropriately. She doesn’t begrudge them the joy of being children: while some kids are forced into adult clothing all the time, it’s nice to see that Charlene lets her kids go casual whenever possible. Sweats and sneakers for haircut day, and why not, right?! They’re such sweet little ones :)

I myself lived in Monaco some time ago. Part of that that time was when Princess Grace was alive. I was living there when she so tragically passed away. I did not know when I moved there to work in F1 motor racing that my birthday, being November 19th, was in fact, Monaco National Day!!! I was delighted of course, and always had a super splendid time on that occasion! I was due to go over to Monaco for my birthday and all the celebrations this year, being tomorrow, November 19th, however sadly I developed some minor health issues, as well as some of my family, who experienced some issues who were due to go as well. We’re all crestfallen a bit just now, but nevermind, we’re going to go next year! I love The Principality of Monaco, and always will! I sincerely hope to retire there one day, and I look forward to laying my eyes on it once again! It’s truly a gift to this Earth, and I am so happy that the Royal Family is prospering so we’ll! On my birthday tomorrow, we will put the usual red and white party streamers on all the chandeliers, have plenty of French champagne, and great food as well. I can’t wait to find out later how National Day went in Monaco. We’re going to be definitely raising a glass in honor of that great country and it’s rich traditions tomorrow. I’m hoping that next year we’ll be there to celebrate with everyone else! This is, by the way, the very first time that I’ve posted anything on line ever, and that said, what a great reason to do it !!! Thank you for your time! Dianne Young.

Welcome to this site, Dianne! Thank you for your first official online post :) What an interesting perspective you must have on Monaco and it’s rich royal history. Please feel free to post anytime you wish, I know we would all welcome your insights. Have a very happy birthday tomorrow, despite the fact that you won’t be in Monaco!!
