Charlene Wears Roland Mouret to Accept Blue Ribbon Award

Here we are again today, and happy Friday the 13th to you all! I hope today proves lucky for you, and if you’re a fellow fashion follower/royal watcher like myself, I have a feeling that today will not disappoint. I’ll cross my fingers just in case, since it IS a day to embrace superstition in good humor. (Photos courtesy of Facebook and Getty.)

While in California to launch the US branch of The Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, Charlene was honored by the Blue Ribbon of Los Angeles Music Center to receive the prestigious Blue Ribbon Award for her humanitarian work surrounding children.

The award is quite an honor, and further highlights the important work that Charlene is committed to with regards to children’s safety in aquatic environments.

Anyone who follows the Duchess of Cambridge will be delighted to know that Charlene selected a Roland Mouret for this occasion! We all love Kate’s gorgeous Mouret gown, which is also in white, and it was thrilling to see Charlene select the label for her time in the USA. This particular ensemble is separates, featuring a pencil skirt and peplum top with very unique cap shoulders. It was the picture of daytime, professional elegance, with a chic Monégasque twist. In other words: it was Charlene to a T.

Once again, I am not in love with the sandals. I think some nude pumps would have done very nicely here, but the black sandals sort of threw me.

But her hair and makeup were divine again. The bold lip color is a trademark of Charlene’s, and it works so well with her complexion. The earrings today were quite elegant, and look to be square diamond studs, which she paired with some delicate diamond tennis bracelets. Once again, she offset the dazzle with her simple cross necklace, which muted the look to perfection.

Changing gears…

While in Los Angeles, Charlene also attended a board meeting with the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation: USA board of directors, at which she also received a Mayoral Proclamation from the Mayor of Beverly Hills:

This is another Roland Mouret dress, and one of my favorite Charlene dresses to date. She looks absolutely stunning. The dress fits her like a glove, it is chic and simple all at once, and it is endlessly flattering to her statuesque figure.

She paired the dress with simple, elegant jewelry, this time pulling out her pearls instead of diamonds. Gorgeous. And so we have thus enjoyed two full days of Charlene in the USA! Since Charlene’s calendar is not public, I have been led to believe that this was the conclusion of her time in the States; however, if I am mistaken, I will certainly keep you updated with any future engagements that she undertakes in the next few days (and beyond, of course, but you know what I mean!). In the meantime, I hope you are all well and enjoying the warmer weather!
